New Orleans-Founded Probiotic Scalp Care Brand Bea's Bayou Skincare Wins Big at the Black Ambition Prize Demo Day 2023

FOR IMMEADIATE RELEASE

New Orleans, LA (November 29th, 2023) —  Bea’s Bayou Skincare has been awarded a $20,000 prize at the Black Ambition Prize Demo Day 2023. Black Ambition is a non-profit founded by music mogul Pharrell Williams. Bea’s Bayou Skincare is a Black woman-owned business founded in New Orleans, LA by Louisiana native Arielle Brown.

On November 9th, Brown traveled to New York City to participate in the Black Ambition Awards where Brown was awarded $20,000 for Bea’s Bayou. Over the past year, Brown has been working hard fundraising in hopes to further accomplish the Bea’s Bayou mission. Arielle was one of thirty-six entrepreneurs named top finalist at the Black Ambition Prize.

“The Black Ambition team was amazing and the support I have around me, including our local start-up community, tells me that despite the economic challenges BIPOC founders face, there will always, ALWAYS, be someone looking out for us. We have to stay steadfast, committed, goal-oriented, and grateful. We are not content with the status quo, but grateful for the breath of fresh air and encouragement. Thank you, Black Ambition. Thank you to Pharrell Williams and Felecia Hatcher for all you’ve done to keep us motivated through anything and provide your resources!”

Brown stated after securing the prize.

Bea’s Bayou Skincare has attracted the eyes of other grant programs. In September, Brown was the recipient of a $10k grant from Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s BEYGOOD charity. Arielle plans to further fill the gaps in the skin and scalp care market by having products available in retailers across the country. You can purchase Bea’s Bayou Skincare at leading online retailers: Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and Macy’s.com as well as the website beasbayouskincare.com.
